Events - APTA GOLF TOURNAMENT

Dear Friends,

The Vermont Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association proudly presents THE 9th ANNUAL VT-APTA BENEFIT GOLF TOURNAMENT! Over the past eight years, this event has raised over $50,000 to benefit both Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports, and VT-APTA. We look forward to keeping a good thing going and having another exciting day of fun and friendly competition on the golf course.

The Vermont Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association will hold this year’s golf tournament at the Sugarbush Golf Club on Friday, September 12th 2008 , with proceeds benefiting Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports, (VASS), and the Vermont Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association, (VT-APTA). Vermont Adaptive is a volunteer based, non profit organization dedicated to providing sports and recreational programs and activities for persons with disabilities. The proceeds directly benefit individuals who rely on the organization to participate in healthy outdoor sports such as sailing, skiing, hiking, cycling, paddling, and horseback riding. The volunteer members of the VT-APTA help to promote the profession of physical therapy to the public, lawmakers and the insurance industry as an integral component of health care. The Vermont Chapter works to ensure that the public and the physical therapy profession are protected by promoting fair regulations and legislation, encouraging research and educating others. As physical therapists, our goal is to help optimize human health, function and recreational performance; therefore teaming up with Vermont Adaptive to raise funds is a great fit!

There are many ways in which you can help and get great recognition and satisfaction. You can sign up a team, play as an individual, sponsor a hole, donate prizes, and more. Please refer to the sponsorship sheet for the different options and sponsor levels.

This year’s tournament is sure to be another tremendous success! There will be plenty of contests, raffles, food, and prizes. As you know, we can’t do it without your generous support. The more help we get, the bigger the day will be! Please join us in participating and supporting this wonderful event.
