Summer Volunteer Training- South Programs
Time: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Location: Chittenden Reservoir Boat Launch
Summer training is coming up June 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and we look forward to going over the basics and reviewing some things with everyone. Training is mandatory for summer volunteers and we would love all of our volunteers to be year-round contributors. Summer programs are a lot of fun and get you out and about on the water, bike path, hiking trail and wherever our adventures take us.
At each training, we review disability awareness, safe practices on the water and bike path and techniques for adaptive paddling/sailing and adaptive cycling. You can attend either one of these events to receive your summer training and once trained can help at ANY of our locations. Come prepared for any weather, bring sunscreen, sunglasses, insect repellent, hats for shade, water and snacks/lunch with you. Also bring a change of clothes (in case you end up getting wet) and a Personal Flotation Device, wetsuit or kayak/canoe if you wish.
NO OPEN TOED SHOES WHILE CYCLING PLEASE…Bring closed-toe shoes for safety while cycling and shoes you don’t mind getting wet for the paddling portion.
Please RSVP Tom if you plan on attending.
