Volunteer Training – Bike Instructor Certification Level 1 Adaptive Mountain Bike


Date : 06/20/2023 - 06/22/2023

Time: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Location: Killington Resort Mountain Bike Park

Cost: $585 plus $65 annual BICP membership; scholarships available through Kellen Sams Memorial Scholarship program

Join us for a full day training specifically on adaptive mountain biking. Topics will include safety, risk management, basic bike handling skills, adaptive equipment and fit up, lift loading, games, and adaptive techniques.  Please bring your own bike and appropriate gear. Loaner gear is available if pre-arranged.  There will be opportunities to try out our fleet of adaptive mountain bikes and off-road handcycles.

Anyone wishing to take both BICP 1 and BICP 2 together should obtain permission from Felicia Fowler PRIOR to registering.

June 20-22 at Killington MTB Park (Snowshed Lodge)

9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Bring your own lunch, bike, helmet, pads/gloves, water, etc

Completed a *NEW* Volunteer Application since 11/01/22

Completed and passed a Background Check since 11/01/22

Obtained or maintained “SafeSport Trained” status

  1. You can check your current status, do an annual refresher, or take additional training at https://safesporttrained.org/

Completed 1 of the following (coming soon):

  1. “Full” 2023 Online Orientation (anyone who did not do it in the fall, edited for summer)
  2. “Summer Update” Online Orientation (anyone who did the fall version)
