Vermont Adaptive Expands Staff Following Merger with Bart Adaptive Sports

Oct. 16, 2025

With the merger this July of Bart Adaptive Sports with and into Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports, the organization announced the promotion of two team members and the addition of a new program coordinator to its staff. These updates reflect Vermont Adaptive’s continued commitment to expanding high-quality adaptive sports programming across the state and meeting the growing needs of communities in southern Vermont.

This merger brings with it two key new programming hubs—Bromley Mountain and Stratton Mountain Resort—strengthening the organization’s presence in the Manchester/Stratton regions and Southern Vermont. The new staff appointments will support year-round outdoor recreation opportunities for people with disabilities in these locations.

Allie Kaye has been promoted from program specialist to program coordinator and will oversee winter programming at Bromley Mountain, as well as summer and fall programs in the Bromley and Manchester regions. She first joined Vermont Adaptive in fall 2023 as a program specialist, after serving as a summer intern at the Pico Mountain location in 2022.

Originally from Knoxville, Tenn., Kaye earned a B.S. in Food Science and Technology with a minor in Hospitality and Tourism from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She also holds a Nutritional Therapy Certification. Her background includes ski instruction at Palisades Tahoe, Olympic Valley, and guiding rafting trips on the Truckee River. When not on the slopes or trails, she enjoys hiking, trail running, reading, and spending time with her dog, Ruby.

Marilee Boylan joins Vermont Adaptive as a program coordinator based at Stratton Mountain. She brings 23 years of experience advocating with and for people with disabilities. Boylan will lead winter programs at Stratton Mountain Resort and summer/fall programming in the Stratton and Manchester regions.

Boylan most recently served as Director of Employment Programs for the Strong Center for Developmental Disabilities in New York. Her career also includes 14 years as a Transition Specialist in Colorado and co-founding The Arc of Larimer County. She holds a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Colorado State University and is a certified occupational therapist (OTR). She also maintains Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification. Outside of work, she enjoys family time, international travel, hiking, biking, skiing, and paddling.

Jasmin Gomez has been promoted from administrative assistant and database coordinator to design and content coordinator. She joined the organization in April 2023 and will now create and manage Vermont Adaptive’s content and visual communications across social media, digital platforms, and print. Gomez supports the organization’s brand, communications, marketing, and development strategies. She will also continue to oversee and manage the organization’s CRM database.

Gomez is a Castleton University graduate with a B.A. in Studio Art and Media & Communications and a minor in Graphic Design. She brings experience from freelance design, journalism, and a variety of customer service roles, all of which shape her creative perspective. In her free time, she can be found snowboarding, paddling, reading, or painting.
