Media Visit Policy

Vermont Adaptive welcomes working media to come and learn more about how individuals with disabilities not only survive but thrive enjoying outdoor recreation. The organization’s media policy is very similar to those at the ski resorts but please read the following to ensure that you have what you need for your story upon arrival.

Vermont Adaptive can provide a hands-on adaptive experience to those members of the news media – with at least 48 hours advance notice. This allows the organization to arrange volunteers and/or clients to be present for recreation/sports shadowing and interviews.

Vermont Adaptive will work closely with the hosting resort to provide complimentary lift passes when applicable to those members of the media who write Vermont Adaptive feature stories, use Vermont Adaptive press releases, or provide Vermont Adaptive-featured radio and TV broadcasts.

Complimentary lift passes are for working members of the media only, and the policy DOES NOT extend to family members, friends, guests, or children, nor advertising or sales reps from media outlets.

In addition, Vermont Adaptive does not own lodging at any of its partner resorts. If lodging is needed, Vermont Adaptive staff members will work with the media to help locate lodging options.

Please email Kim Jackson (pr@vermontadaptive.org) to discuss story ideas and arrangements. Arrangements for visits at any of the three locations must be made in advance; no exceptions.
