Vermont Adaptive succeeds because of the dedication of more than 400 highly-trained volunteer instructors. We are searching for energetic, dedicated individuals who have a passion for sports and want to share that passion with others. Our volunteers dedicate their free time to help individuals with disabilities rediscover their abilities and achieve their dreams through sports and recreation. Volunteers are from all walks of life but have one mission in mind – to help those with disabilities enjoy sports and recreation on a daily basis.
Due to the pandemic we did not host in-person off-snow training in November like we usually do, BUT we have training for you.
Our online off snow orientation is now live, and all volunteers who have completed all of the steps to renew and reapply have access to this training. Please make sure you do all the steps below – NEW and RETURNING volunteers – and once we have your completed application, we’ll send you the link to the training.
1. Go to https://www.vermontadaptive.org/users/volunteerapp
2. Log In using your username and password OR create a new account if you have not completed this form before. If you do not remember or do not yet have a password, please email Tom at south@vermontadaptive.org
3. Edit/Confirm/Enter your current information.
4. Follow Additional Prompts
Once you have submitted your application, you will receive additional information regarding the background check process, SafeSport Training and COVID requirements. You will also be invited to access the online training once the courses are activated. Please email Senior Program Coordinator Tom Alcorn if you have any questions.
Want to learn more about our guidance and Return to Play plan: That can be found here if you’d like to check it out: https://www.vermontadaptive.org/return-to-play/
We will be adhering to the state of Vermont’s Cross State Travel map for travel for those coming from out of state, and this will apply to all volunteers, participants and anyone else wanting to be present at our locations. You can view the map here. https://accd.vermont.gov/covid-19/restart/cross-state-travel
If you have completed the steps to renew your active volunteer status (YOU know who you are, we emailed you a confirmation), Thank YOU so much. If you have not completed the steps or you are a new volunteer, please complete them as soon as possible. This process takes time on your end to complete, on ours to track and we want to make sure everyone has access to the off snow training to be ready for the season.
