Help Us Capture an Additional $60,000 This Year

Did you know that in 2026 we must raise $410,000 for our programs, scholarships and expensive adaptive equipment? If you are able, help us raise 50% or more of this goal by Jan. 1 by giving on #GivingTuesday2025.

About #GivingTuesday

The History of GivingTuesday – from givingtuesday.org

“GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. GivingTuesday was born and incubated at the 92nd Street Y and its Belfer Center for Innovation & Social Impact in New York City. GivingTuesday is now an independent nonprofit and a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.”

Vermont Adaptive has participated annually in this global day of giving and giving back since 2013. It is one of the largest days for fundraising for Vermont Adaptive – we are grateful for everyone’s participation to make it a success, whether you donate your time, talent and/or treasure!

Annually, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving is a global day dedicated to giving back. #GivingTuesday follows Black Friday and Cyber Monday with the goal of celebrating generosity and encouraging people to give during the holiday season. It was created to inspire people to take collaborative action to improve their local communities, give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes that they support and help create a better world.

#GivingTuesday harnesses the power of social media to create a national moment around the holidays dedicated to giving, similar to how Black Friday and Cyber Monday have become days that are, today, synonymous with holiday shopping. Your donations during this time help us to continue to provide year-round sports and recreation for people with disabilities. Thank you!

Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025

Once again, Vermont Adaptive is participating in the nationally recognized charitable giving campaign, #GivingTuesday, on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025.

This year, Vermont Adaptive is grateful for and gives thanks to Robert Ocko, Michael Krupka, the Kimpton Family Fund, and Dave & Melissa Baker, who collectively pledged a matching gift of $60,000 for #GivingTuesday2025. That means your donation will be matched dollar for dollar up to $60,000.

For nearly 40 years, Vermont Adaptive has been providing continued programming, lessons and access to state-of-the-art adaptive equipment, but offering these programs takes resources – we must raise more than $410,000 from individuals like you for 2026 programs and operations.

Without you, we can’t share the passion for sports and recreation with others. Thank you for supporting our programs and mission.
