Play for All Seasons
Every season, Vermont Adaptive’s team is creating a new experience for participants that matches each individual’s skill level and the season. Vermont is simply too beautiful to sit on the sidelines. Whether you are a Vermonter or are just visiting, we have an opportunity for you to try something new or continue a sport that you love.
Our full program guide outlines our winter and summer programs. We also offer specific programs in wellness, environmental stewardship, and sports for veterans.
Our program list grows each year and we offer customized programs that are suited to each individual’s or group’s needs. Just a few of our programs include:

How We Do It
Vermont Adaptive staff and trained volunteers offer programs to individuals and groups of all ages with any disability, seven days a week throughout the year. We are a nationally recognized organization that empowers people of all abilities through inclusive sports and recreational programming regardless of ability to pay. We work with people of all ages with cognitive, developmental, physical, and emotional disabilities.
Our snow sports season generally runs from Dec. 26 through the first week in April. The remaining months are filled with our spring, summer and fall sports.
At Vermont Adaptive, we use many different techniques and equipment for our year round programs. We derive our techniques from professional standards and organizations who, like us, are experts in the field of adaptive sports. We keep a current inventory of adaptive equipment that is adapted to fit the individual’s need as the lesson progresses. Every lesson we teach is tailored for each individual and each program.
