Before joining the staff at Vermont Adaptive in 2013, Kim owned her own public relations firm for five years, of which Vermont Adaptive was a client. She has more than 30 years of experience representing companies in the outdoor and ski industries as well as in general tourism and marketing. Her work spans from writing hard and feature news stories as a journalist for the Boston Globe and The Gloucester Daily Times, to being the PR director and communications manager for a large corporation in Boston and for Killington Resort among others. She also served as the production manager for a graphic design firm.

As a PR professional, she has worked with editors and placed stories in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Boston Globe, and Boston Herald, and Sports Illustrated plus in hundreds of local, regional and national publications as well as social media outlets. She earned the Vermont Travel Industry Conference Marketing Excellence Award, and recently was presented with the Bob Gillen Memorial Award, issued by the North American Snowsports Journalists Association to an individual for contributions to the advancement of Snowsports, and who exemplifies the highest standards of professionalism in public relations and communications.

Kim has been a guest lecturer and service learning partner at the University of Vermont and is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals as well as the Public Relations Society of America. She holds a B.A. in journalism from the University of New Hampshire and a Nonprofit Management Certificate from Marlboro College Graduate and Professional Studies. In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, kayaking, the ocean and the beach with her husband and daughter, and has been a part of the Killington community for more than 25 years.
