IS YOUR FA/CPR CARD CURRENT?  The American Red Cross offers an online Provisional Certification in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED. Students can take the blended portion of this course and receive a provisional certification. The skills portion must be taken with 90 days of completing the blended learning course to receive a 2 year OSHA certification.

US Ski Team Home WorkoutLooking for a simple, at-home strength program to keep you fit? U.S. Ski & Snowboard Athletic Development Coach @mike_bing_ has put a little something together to keep each of you strong and healthy.

STAY ENGAGED – ONLINE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

Training Guide: Concussion Awareness– NFSH.org national curriculum on identifying and reacting to concussions, sponsored by Special Olympics. Required for SO Coaches, recommended for everyone.

Protective Behaviors Training–  Special Olympics training focused on preventing and identifying sexual abuse among athletes. Required for Special Olympics Coaches, recommended for all.

PSIA/AASI FREE Online Learning Courses–  PSIA/AASI has created a number of free E-Learning Courses available for free. Many high quality additional ones become free with PSIA/AASI Membership.  Create an account and get started.

PSIA/AASI- Eastern Division– Eastern Division offers its own menu of E-learning opportunities to compliment the offerings from the PSIA/AASI National. Much of the content here is specific to the East Coast and much was created or collaborated on by our friends and staff.

BlazeSports America-  Certified Adaptive Recreation and Sports Specialist (CARSS)  Earn the only certification of its kind!  Multi-sport certification with modules in history, legislation, disability awareness, risk management, evaluation and equipment.

PsychArmor– PsychArmor® Institute provides critical resources to Americans so they can effectively engage with and better support military service members, Veterans and their families across our nation.  Large course offering of programs for communities that serve veterans.

Move United Adaptive MTB Web-Series ON DEMAND- includes four free installments on Improving Access; Equipment 101Trail Development; & Risk Management.  Keep your eyes out for some familiar faces.

EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM Vermont Adaptive works with Invest EAP to provide assistance and support to its volunteers and staff.  Please feel free to explore their services and make use of this program as needed.

Kellen Sams Memorial Scholarship and Leadership Award:  Scholarship funds and annual recognition award for Vermont Adaptive volunteers and staff to pursue professional development in adaptive sports, certifications, guiding and instructing or any other areas important to Vermont Adaptive’s Mission.
